Privacy Policy
OkFisher (okfisher.com) is an informational aquarium fishkeeping website. This policy explains, in plain terms, what limited information the site collects and how it is used. If you have any questions, please reach us through our contact page.
By using this site you consent to the practices described below.
What We Collect
OkFisher is a content site — it does not sell products directly, and it has no shopping cart, checkout, payment processing, billing addresses, or customer accounts. The only information involved is:
- Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, the name, email address, and any details you enter in the comment form are stored so the comment can be displayed and moderated. Your email address is not shown publicly.
- Contact form. If you message us through the contact page, we receive the details you send (such as your name, email, and message) so we can reply.
- Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular). This uses cookies and collects standard, mostly anonymous usage data such as pages viewed and general location. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.
We do not knowingly collect more than this, and we do not run on-site advertising networks.
Affiliate Links
Some articles contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon). If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and the retailer — not OkFisher — handles that transaction and its own cookies and data. See our affiliate disclosure for more.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information above only to run and improve the site: to publish and moderate comments, to respond to messages, and to understand general site usage. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Services
Some third parties may process data as part of the services above — notably Google (Analytics) and, for affiliate links, the retailers you choose to visit. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your data.
Your Choices
You can browse OkFisher without leaving any personal details. You can block cookies in your browser, and you can ask us to remove a comment or contact-form message you have sent by reaching us through the contact page.
Children’s Privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to keep it accurate. Any changes will be posted on this page.
